It Rains in my Story (Or at Least Sprinkles)

rainIt hardly ever sprinkles in Memphis. It either rains or it doesn’t and in the summer time it usually doesn’t.  In Louisville it sprinkles!  We had a great time anyway.  Especially the kids.  At the KOA the sewers were not gold plated, but the playground was fabulous. They had a giant rubber pillow filled with air.   The kids did not tire of jumping and if they did the KOA had a lot of other thinks to play on.  They had standard stuff, like swings and slides, and they had interesting toys too, like these cup things that when you sit in them, you can spin yourself around.

The weather is awesome. In Memphis, flies and mosquitoes rule the sweltering, summer heat.  Even, most evenings are muggy and hot. Not here though! Last night, after the kids went to bed, we sat outside and just enjoyed the pleasant weather. I did not get one mosquito bite and I am usually a mosquito magnet!

This morning we woke up to a very pleasant…ummmmm….I forgot to check the temperature, let’s just say it was a little cool. The kids wanted to wear their lightweight jackets!

Every one slept in a little bit this morning, even the kids, who are usually up by 6:30. Our goal was to get on the road by 8:00 am.  We did pretty good, we hit the road at 9:00 am.  Today we are going to Cleveland, Ohio.  Google maps says that it is 349.3 miles and they say that it takes 5 hrs and 8 minutes to drive it. I think they lie, because it will take us eight or possibly even nine hours to get there. It really raining now, so I am betting on an even tenP.S. I forgot to share about the bikes! Tadah! We did it!
